Norton Safe Web applications for Facebook
Norton Safe Web is a web page scanning service offered by famous makers Anti Virus, Norton. This service will scan the website and the url and give a warning order to each possible threat that might be found and endanger users of the website. In this case the scan is similar to another famous url scanner like AVG LinkScanner or Web of Trust.
Norton Safe Web for Facebook is application that utilizes reliable and secure web database to scan the user feeds the Facebook site. This application will automatically scan the user’s feed when added to the list of applications that were installed on Facebook.
For those of you who possess Anti Virus Shield web features, this application is not too useful, but if your computer does not / do not have security software and browser add-ons with security, you can use it to monitor the existence of dangerous or untested link security.
Norton does not give much information about this application, especially when and how the links are scanned. Still, interesting to be observed that the security application on Facebook eventually emerged despite the promotional element of covert part of the Norton 2011 security software.
