Install Wordpress offline on Your PC using Xampp

This tutorial explains how to create a blog with a brief use of the installed CMS offline using XAMPP program. XAMPP itself is an open source project made Kai ‘Oswald’ Seider and Kay Vogelgesang a successful mix different programming languages for web development such as Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, etc.. XAMPP can be downloaded from the official website and can run on various operating systems.

For common people, XAMPP provides many great benefits that may be very interested in a variety of blog platforms currently available. And with a few simple steps anyone been able to understand the workings of this program. The whole installation could also be easily removed from the computer with a click of the mouse without leaving a trace.

Here’s a short step to use XAMPP:

1. Download xamp-win32-1.5.5.zip from her site here

2. Extract on your computer.

3. Open the XAMPP directory. Double-click the file and place such setup_xampp.bat the directory C: / (please note does not establish XAMPP entry in windows registry)

4. Now that you have made to making web server offline. And the whole language program is based on PHP. Try to open the file C: \ xampp \ xampp_start.exe. With a command-prompt window, this indicates that the program called Apache has started.

5. Next open your Internet browser (Mozilla or Internet Explorer) and type in the address bar:
http://127.0.0.1/ or

http://localhost/

6. You now see the XAMPP start page.

7. Select Tools, then select phpMyAdmin.

8. In the Create new database field with such content, db_joomla. Click the Create button and automatic database has also been formed. Please note the default user name is root and password blank.

Place a blog platform that you want to try the C: \ xampp \ htdocs. For example joomla,  or wordpress.

To try it, type in the browser:

http://localhost/joomla or

http://localhost/wordpress

Click Next to perform installation.

If the MySQL database configuration appears insert the following data:
Host Name: localhost
MySQL User Name: root
MySQL Password: (blank)
MySQL Database Name: db_joomla or db_wordpress

Continue until filling up the box URL, path, email or admin password. After the next steps completed, a special joomla, remove the installation folder is located in the directory C: \ Program Files \ xampp \ htdocs \ joomla.
